Not so long ago, children had to obey most of all. They were virtually the property of the parents. And they could decide what they wanted to own. Almost a hundred years ago, the Polish educator Janusz Korczak formulated that children have their own rights. Then it took another seventy years to pass the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. 196 countries worldwide - including Germany - have agreed to it. Children's rights are human rights.
On the basis of nine modules, selected children's rights are represented symbolically. With the help of a research booklet, the little visitors can answer questions about the individual stations.
